Elder Jennifer D. Bishop
First Lady of Grace Christian Church
Jennifer D. Bishop, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is the wife of Rev. Aaron R. E. Bishop, Senior Pastor of Grace Christian Church. Pastor Aaron and First Lady Jennifer assumed leadership of Grace on June 10, 2007 with a purpose to support the revitalization of the spiritual warfare to reclaim our communities, our families and our children.
With a passion for education, Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in History (1998) and a Master of Public Policy and Administration (2000) from Savannah State University and is currently completing her final requirements for a Doctorial Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.
As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and the South Carolina General Assembly Women’s Caucus, First Lady serves on the Richland County Penny Sales Tax Advisory Board, Chairwoman of the Columbia Commercial Revolving Loan Committee as well as other service organizations that are dedicated to the betterment of the lives of our society.
Professionally, Jennifer has worked in the private sector with a focus on public-sector business within top Fortune 300 companies as a Regional Director and Senior Regional Vice President. In 2009 she realigned her career plans and dedicated her acquired business acumen into the non-profit sector and assumed leadership as Executive Director of Greater Columbia CDC, headquartered in Columbia, SC. As an entrepreneur, Jennifer is a partner of The Talented Tenth, LLC, co-owner of Grace Academy Child Development Center, LLC located in North Columbia and is President of Bishop Speaks, LLC.
In 2010, Lady Jennifer became licensed as an ordained Elder and continues to fulfill her passion to mentor and minister to women who find themselves in an emotionally and spiritually broken state and are seeking to find who they are and whose they are.
